Student Clinic Privacy Notice

The Australian Shiatsu College takes your privacy seriously and is committed to protecting the confidentiality of your health and personal information.

How we collect and use your information:

• We collect health and personal details to assess, diagnose, and deliver quality care, and (where relevant) provide de-identified training opportunities for our students.
• Information held may include: name, contact details, health history, treatment notes, test results, and payment details with your consent.

How we share and store your data:

• Your data is stored securely, on-site and digitally, with access limited to authorised staff and supervisors only.
• Information may be used for training of health professionals, clinic administration, and (with your permission) for referral to other providers.
• We will not disclose your information outside the College except as required by law or with your consent.

Access and correction:

• You may request access to, or correction of, your records by contacting the Clinic Privacy Officer or Clinic Admin.

Complaints:

• If you have a concern about privacy or confidentiality, please contact the Clinic Privacy Officer (Executive Manager, Quality & Compliance).
• We will acknowledge complaints within 14 days, respond substantively within 30 days, and escalate to the Victorian or Federal Privacy Commissioner if resolution is not reached.
