The Australian Shiatsu College takes your privacy seriously and is committed to protecting the confidentiality of your health and personal information.
How we collect and use your information:
- We collect health and personal details to assess, diagnose, and deliver quality care, and (where relevant) provide de-identified training opportunities for our students.
- Information held may include: name, contact details, health history, treatment notes, test results, and payment details with your consent.
How we share and store your data:
- Your data is stored securely, on-site and digitally, with access limited to authorised staff and supervisors only.
- Information may be used for training of health professionals, clinic administration, and (with your permission) for referral to other providers.
- We will not disclose your information outside the College except as required by law or with your consent.
Access and correction:
- You may request access to, or correction of, your records by contacting the Clinic Privacy Officer or Clinic Admin.
Complaints:
- If you have a concern about privacy or confidentiality, please contact the Clinic Privacy Officer (Executive Manager, Quality & Compliance).
- We will acknowledge complaints within 14 days, respond substantively within 30 days, and escalate to the Victorian or Federal Privacy Commissioner if resolution is not reached.

- All clinic data handling follows ASC’s main Privacy Policy, the Health Records Act 2001 (Vic), and Australian Privacy Principles.
